3.5The writing was good, but the ending didn't leave me believing the two MCs would last as a couple. I wasn't convinced of it.The relationship between the two men seems too unbalanced, like Devon has to do all the work while Scott puts in minimal effort and what effort he does put in is more about himself and his own issues (which he doesn't seem to try much to prevent from hurting the relationship) than about making the relationship work. Even at the end, it's Devon who does all the groveling and apologizing, asking for forgiveness and making overtures to reconcile. Scott doesn't ever apologize and, though he goes to see Devon once quite some time after his mistakes, he backs out and runs away before they actually meet. He makes no other moves to try to make up. Scott spends more time wallowing than trying.
